Strike Threat Biids In Pgh

Pittsburgh AP reports Local 95 of the Operating Engineers Union accepted a three year contract covering about 200 workers in downtown Pittsburgh offices. Ratified Sunday, the pact provides raises of 10 cents the first year 12 cents the second and three percent the third, ending a strike threat after the old contract expired December 31.

Pittsburgh Schools Win Record Ford Foundation Grant

Wrestler Yukon Eric Dead in Apparent Self-Inflicted Shooting

Coroner Arthur Shinall ruled apparent death by own action in the death of 41-year-old professional wrestler Yukon Eric, real name Eric Holmback of Tonawanda, N.Y. His body was found in a church driveway near U S 41, three miles north of Cartersville, with a .22 pistol found at his side.
