Jamestown N Y work resumed at the washing machine division of Black Stone Corp after a 22 week strike. Company officials and IAM Lodge 1240 representatives announced a wage agreement on a new contract whose terms were not disclosed. About 70 employees in the division were affected. Prior action saw 400 IAM Lodge 2105 members in heater and radiator divisions strike but return after an Oct 2 settlement.
French forces reported 40 nationalist rebels killed in military operations in Algeria today. No French losses were announced.

Randall Race Track near Cleveland to be sold for 3.6 million to a Western Pennsylvania group. Dan Parish heads the syndicate with 78 percent stock and says organization meeting will be held next Tuesday in Pittsburgh. Randall stockholders meet in Cleveland to confirm sale and transfer. Members include Art Rooney and others from Pittsburgh and nearby towns. The track seats 7,500 with stables for 4,400 horses.
