An Office and Printing Plant located at the Sew Gazette Building on Carpenter Ave in Badiana is entered in the Indiana Postoffice as Second Class Mail Matter.
Blairsville resident Squire P. M. Hodge and many others arrive, visit, or travel for business or leisure. Names include John Shelds Reynoldsville, Jame Cravens Creekside, Thorne Hamilton Elkin, James Johnston Montana, and Frank J. Myers Carrolltown. Mrs. Albert T. Rutledge Blairsville visits Johnstown. A mix of teachers, nurses, and officials from Indiana, DuBoin, Brookville, Greensburg, and nearby towns are noted with travels, moves, and meetings.
John Johnston died at his home in Washington township on Friday December 80 at noon. He was 74 years seven months and five days old and had been ill about six months. A farmer all his life he is survived by three brothers James E Alex and Lowry of Washington township. Funeral services were at Plum Creek church January 1 conducted by Reverend Copeland. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Johnston was a lifelong Democrat and had held several offices in the township. He was known for his kindness and willingness to help others.
Mrs. Samuel A Vaughan of Johns town died after peritonitis at Memorial Hospital on Saturday January 15 aged 32 She leaves husband four children Hazel Mabel Annabell and Samuel all at home two sisters Mrs Michael Bannett and Miss Grace Wilson Brush Valley two brothers Harry Wilson of Elrama and Samuel Wilson of Johnstown Abraham Lowman East Mahoning township died January 7 after a long illness aged 75 He is survived by wife and children George Penn Run Albert Pittsburg Mrs Samantha Wyncoop Uniontown Mrs Jos Brown East Mahoning Mrs Donahue Dixonville and Mrs Cora Brant at home Interment was at Marion Center Rev A C Powell officiating
Mrs Margaret Lydick longtime Creekside resident died Sunday at 9 PM at home age 85 due to infirmities of age. She is survived by three children A D Lydie of Mahaffey Oscar Lydie of Indiana and Miss Adilia Lydie at home plus 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Samuel Henry a prominent West Lebanon farmer diedThursday after one day of pneumonia at about 72. He belonged to the West Lebanon Presbyterian Church and is survived by a widow and several grown sons and daughters.
