C J Erdman former congressman from Pennsylvania died at his Allentown home aged 63 after suffering eighteen strokes. Elected in 1891 he drafted the strike prevention and labor dispute settlement bill that bears his name. He helped shape the measure while adjutant of the National Guard during the Heading Radtraudg riots.
