Walback Dies After Yearlong Illness in Indiana County
Adam G Walback age 70 died Tuesday night at the Walback homestead in West Wheatfield township Indiana county after a yearlong illness. He was born April 12 1855 son of Chas Walbeck and lived much of his life in Indiana county. He was unmarried and survived by multiple siblings. Funeral set for 2 oclock tomorrow at the Walback home with interment in Germany Cemetery.

Rescue Efforts Continue for 98 Entombed Miners at Milburton
Reports say 98 miners remain entombed in Milburton Mine as rescue teams battle hazards. Firefighting chemicals and equipment were exhausted at 1 o'clock and calls were sent to the Bureau of Mines. Joplin and Asbury dispatch special rescue cars, with 26 white and the remainder Black workers involved.

Bank robbery chase ends with three bandits caught
