Vandals vandalized the Iselin cemetery tearing down 20 to 25 headstones in the past two to three weeks. Monuments from Protestant and Catholic graves were damaged, with hundreds of dollars in loss. A $25 reward is offered for information identifying the culprits.

Two coroner inquests were held. Edward M. Edwards of Pittsburgh was held on a manslaughter charge in the death of Russo Buccio, age years, near Nu Mine on December 14 as he was struck by a car and left the scene. The child died next day. The jury absolved the Penn Public Service Corp. of blame in Melvin Hudson’s death, age sixteen, near Uniontown, Indiana County, from electrocution after sleet damaged power lines during a December storm.

Starford Home Destroyed By Early Morning Fire
A two story frame house owned by Clair Bagley in Starford was totally destroyed by fire at about one this morning. All household effects were lost and the family narrowly escaped.
