Indiana Girl Found Dead At Bucknell
Shirley Jane McCreary 22 of Indiana was found dead in a Bucknell University bathtub in Lewisburg Pennsylvania. Coroner says accidental drowning due to encephalitis induced unconsciousness. A Bucknell senior and Westtown School alumna, she planned a June wedding to Zwielese. Daughter of Ralph W. McCreary and Frances P. McCreary, she was active in Alpha Chi Omega and in good academic standing. The body was released to Lewisburg funeral home and to Indiana for interment. Funeral services set for Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Arthur J. Piehl officiating.

A massive blaze in Louisville last night destroyed 6000 tons of printing paper valued at 2 million dollars and a 125000 South Dixie warehouse. Warehouse manager W A Torsch said an oil stove explosion started the fire, oil spread to the building, with 19 fire units combatting the flames. Spectators gathered as the plume stretched for miles. Dearing Printing Co owned the paper and president William G. Simpson noted operations would not be hindered as paper is stored elsewhere.
