$1000 Collision Brings Charge Against Driver
A 16 year old Indiana youth was charged today with violation of the motor vehicles code after a $1000 cash collision on North Fifth street yesterday afternoon. Patrolman Orvis Flick filed the charge against George Waddell of Indiana RD 1 for failing to maintain vigilance while driving. A police report notes Waddell’s car hit a vehicle driven by Mrs. Helen G. Testa of 338 Grand View Avenue between Oak and Water streets. Estimated damage to each car was $500. The youth said he was looking toward the sidewalk for his sister due out of school when the collision occurred.
