150 Cases Whiskey Stolen in Pittsburgh Heist
A truck carrying 150 cases of Canadian whiskey valued over 10000 dollars was stolen from a garage in Pittsburgh today by five men. Mrs Tirjah T. Bowers Peeler died in Indiana on Saturday January 9 from pneumonia after a weeklong illness. Daughter of Valentine and Sarah Bowers, she was born in White township and married Elder Peeler February 28, 1894. She moved to Indiana with her husband and was active in church and civic groups. Survived by husband Elder Peeler and son L Murray Peeler. Funeral held Monday January 11 at 2:00 in the Methodist Episcopal Church. Also reported is death of Anna R Bracken Garman, 70, of Barnesboro Pa, who passed away January 9 due to multiple diseases. born August 20, 1861 in Susquehanna Township Cambria County. Her father Nathan R. Bracken served as a lieutenant in Civil War.
