Two Penn State Students Injured in Route 22 Pileup

Two Penn State University students, B Edward Schmidt Jr. and Nancy Mason, are in serious condition at Presbyterian University Hospital after a trick auto collided with a tractor trailer on Route 22 near Blairsville. The crash occurred Sunday at 3 45 p m as both eastbound vehicles climbed Penn View Mountain. The truck driver John Pfeiffer Jr. was uninjured. The auto sustained over 600 dollars in damage and was transported from Indiana Hospital to Pittsburgh Hospital by ambulance.

Funds OK'd For School Program

Final approval given by the Indiana Area School District for federal elementary and secondary education act programs. A $30,434 grant funds remedial reading clinics at Ben Franklin and Horace Mann Elementary schools with added library service. A $44,480 secondary tutoring grant funds four junior high and two senior high teachers for extra help in several subjects.

Sentences Awarded In Court Today

U S Forces Crush Viet Cong Fortifications Near Iron Triangle

On the edge of the Iron Triangle 25 miles northwest of Saigon, allied forces including Australians and U S troops battled Viet Cong remnants.
