Valentino Pezzaro, 52, of Josephine, was hospitalized after being struck on the head by an unknown assailant on the east end of the Indiana County Street Railway bridge over Blacklick creek. He fell 25 feet to the ground and remained unconscious overnight. He suffers severe contusions, exposure, and a fractured leg. authorities seek the attacker.

The shattered remains of Mrs. Ruth Stewart and Mrs. Debbie Stanford, society matrons from St. Louis, who perished when their plane wrecked on Sherman mountain, were being sent to their homes. Alice Stewart claimed Mrs. Stewart's body for return to St. Louis, and W. L. Stanford planned to convey Mrs. Stanford to Camden by motor car. The crash occurred after the women had been missing two days on a pleasure trip to Buenos Aires via New York and Havana. Police recovered the wreck, 27 miles from the nearest village, and State Police tracked the bodies to Harrisburg.
