Other figures include Mrs Sarah Rodgers, Mrs J M Getty and daughter Mary, J R McCreight, H M Haugh, J F Deitz, Dr Stanley A E Brallier, W S Davidson, J A O Connor, and Edna Gibson ill at home. Funeral services were held for Mrs Isabela Davie of Glen Campbell at the Glen Campbell Union church with pastor Rev. F. C. Buyers delivering the sermon. Survived by husband Thomas Davis and three children, and four sisters in England. interment under local church auspices. Also reported: a tunnel collapse on Ludlow Street New York left Isaac Finkelstein dead as debris buried him. authorities noted a failed attempt to escape.
Mrs. Tine Rowe, 84, wife of Rev. George Rowe, pastor of the South Greensburg Methodist Episcopal church, died after a week of illness. Survived by her husband, an infant son, her mother, and siblings David Weyant, Mrs. Grant Ramey, Mrs. W. A. Neal, and Mrs. Usech. Interment in Cavode cemetery. Remains transported by train to Cavode, with services at 10 o'clock Sunday morning conducted by Rev. Frickloed of McDonald.
William Alter aged 88 died at his Maple Street home Friday evening of heart trouble. Survived by seven children Mariah Phillips Annie Rosa Sarah Aiey and Mats Hitch in Indiana, Joseph Johnston and Charles Frank in Washington. Wife died 20 years ago. Funeral Monday at 2 PM conducted by Rev. J Day Brownlee at First UFP church with interment in Oakland cemetery.
Mrs Annie Altemus wife of Park Altemus died of pneumonia at her home near Strongatown on Saturday Jan 1 aged 20. She was daughter of Harry Bennett and married to Mr Altemus Jlant Mareb. An infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Joseph Jawart Hast Plumville died Saturday Jan 1 aged 8 months. Interment at Berarda cemetery Sunday morning Jan 2.
Albert Pressly Burchfield aged 60 prominent Pittsburg figure died at 6:25 AM at his home 407 North Negley Avenue East End after a brief illness. He joined the Joseph Horne firm February 2 1866 and after Joseph Hornes death took charge of store management becoming effectively the head of the large dry goods firm.

Plumville is voting in its first borough election after a petition for incorporation was favorably acted on by Judge Telford. Local residents see the new town government take effect while area residents carry on with jobs and visits among neighboring communities. The Plumville basketball team recently defeated Marion Center by 22 to 3.
