Opponents press Gandhi as Parliament opens session

New Delhi India AP opponents of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi spoke out as Parliament opened a four week session. Samar Mukherjee of the Marxist Communist party warned that Parliament’s role is eroding and could become a mockery. Opponents from other parties echoed the critique while Gandhi supporters hailed emergency measures.

Sex Education Favored by Junior High Students

New York AP report describes a national poll of 1,000 junior high students. A 71.5 percent majority backed sex education classes, 28.5 percent disagreed, and 52 percent already saw sex education as present in their schools.
