Toll Bridges To Be Taken Over In State Action

Blairsville Man Held for Robbery
Melvin Baker, 24, of Blairsville, was held today in the State Police barracks at Greensburg in connection with the robbery of the Blairsville plant of the People's Natural Gas Company last Saturday morning. Baker reportedly confessed when Daisyville police and state troopers arrested him yesterday afternoon. The robbery was frustrated when a pedestrian passed the building and observed a man attempting to open the office safe. The pedestrian summoned police but directed them to a nearby building and the suspect fled as police were searching the vicinity.
