The article describes boxer Cline suffering a damaged third cranial nerve from a blow causing diplopia in his left eye. Doctors diagnosed double vision with separate focal points for each eye. An operation months ago corrected his vision and Cline has returned to training, showing past potential.
Denver police court rules a diner need not pay for unordered dishes. James Braillis ordered ham and eggs. waiter served coffee. Braillis refused payment claiming the meal was not ordered and joked about the 50 cent bill and five cent coffee.
During the ensuing argument the nickel was not forthcoming and a waiter summoned a policeman who accompanied Brullis to the hoofgrow. Judge Bray declared this the first nickle case before him and ruled Brullis did not owe for the coffee, discharging him.
