Robbers Grab $170,000 From Registered Mail In Minneapolis
Six shotgun bandits robbed a Milwaukee railroad station in Minneapolis last night, escaping with at least $170,000 in bonds currency and negotiable securities from four bags of registered mail. One sack reportedly came from the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank. The loot was taken from George Lonquist, a transfer clerk of the Chicago Milwaukee St Paul and Pacific station, as bags waited to be loaded for Chicago.
