London January 3 AP William Joyce known as Lord Haw Haw died at Wandsworth prison executing him for high treason. The 40 year old American born broadcaster to Adolf Hitler faced the same scaffold where John Amery died. Joyce’s death ends a notorious career from Fascist street fights to Nazi propaganda. Goebbels paid Joyce for four daily broadcasts. Joyce claimed American citizenship to dodge treason charges.

FRANKFURT Germany Jan 3 AP Judge Simon Rifkind said at a press conference that reports of a worldwide Jewish conspiratorial plan behind Polish Jews fleeing to the American zone are unfounded. He rejected Lt Gen Morgan’s view of a secret Jewish organization guiding the exodus as untrue and emphasized the refugees flee under fear and coercion.
New York's anti discrimination law draws inquiries from states including Massachusetts as a model. Toshimitsu Takatsu testified at General Masaharu Homma’s war crimes trial that Homma’s Bataan HQ lay within 500 yards of the death march route and that his commands allowed prisoners to be driven mercilessly for 20 miles along the highway. Two teen-age schoolboys confessed slaying Edwin A. Mickley, 62, of Lehigh County near Schnecksville last Dec. 13. They admitted taking about $2,000, stealing the farmer’s car, and fleeing. The car, sought in eight states, was found near the boys’ homes. Mickley’s body was found three days after the killing after neighbors noticed a light in his kitchen.
