Attempted Kidnapping Thwarted in Indiana County
A 26 year old woman was cut during an attempted kidnapping at 7 50 p m Saturday in the Shop N Save parking lot along Route 422 west of Indiana. Two unidentified men intervened as a knife was used. Kenneth A White 31 of Saltsburg RD 1 was arrested charged with attempted kidnap and aggravated assault and held on 50000 bond. Police credited the two bystanders with detaining the suspect until arrival.
