Infantiding Mr. and Mrs. F. Eugene Burkley of Uniontown announce the birth of a daughter weighing nine pounds at Uniontown Hospital on February 18. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. W. Paul Burkley of Blairsville. The Burkleys were former Indiana residents, where Mr. Burkley worked with Commercial Credit. They now have three sons and two daughters. Sir Hiram S. Blairsville Bible Class Donates Penny-a-Meal
Blairsville Agnes Alter Philathes Bible Class of the First Regular Baptist Church met Feb 19 with 15 in attendance in the church basement. Mrs June Cornell led devotions from John chapter one. The group sang In The Garden and Softly Now The Light Of A. Mrs Julia Shank offered prayer. Mrs Cornell read from the manuscript behind The House That Jack Built. President Mrs Elizabeth McKee led a business session, donating to America For Christ. Penny-a-Meal bags were handed to members to be collected in two months. Year books were distributed. The meeting closed with prayer by Mrs Hessie Fluke. A social hour featured a linen shower for Mrs Annabelle Jellison, a home purchase. A gift was given to Mrs Frank Adama Sr who is moving to Harrisburg. A lunch was served by Mrs Caroline Houser and Mrs Jellison.
