Blairsville Post 28 G A R schedules a 9 16 am visit to local schools to discuss the water project and urges directors and parents to attend. The Blairsville school board approves funding by 4 1 4 percent bonds to cover a 25 000 bond issue and related purchases including park land and emergency repairs.

Mrs. John Edwards of Bellano died at home aged 76 after short illness. Survived by husband John Edwards and children Walter H. Edwards Merton Edwards Oscar Edwards and Mrs Monroe Learn of Bolsano William A Edwards of Lakeport Calif Mrs F C Amond of Penn Run Pa sisters Melancthon Thomas Town and Mrs H H Guffey Homer City. Funeral set for Tuesday afternoon.
A subway collision left two dead and nine injured in a Brooklyn incident when an elevated train rear-ended a standing train at a station. A Ballinger mother died after giving birth in her apartment last Wednesday with no medical aid. She reportedly asked a janitor on Saturday to burn a package in the furnace, then placed the bundle inside the furnace and left. The janitor found a baby’s body. pathologists say the infant was born alive but died likely due to lack of care.
