A sanity commission assigned by Judge J N Langham submitted reports on two county jail inmates Charles Tag Palmer and Frank Anderson both Indians. Palmer faces assault and battery and resisting arrest charges while Anderson is held on fraudulent check charges. The panel included Dr A H Stewart Dr F J Kellam and attorney Thomas Sutton. Palmer has 64 jailings in eight years and 42 arrests since 1928 with seven prior workhouse terms for arson highway robbery and other crimes.

Frank Graham of Homer City was named defendant in a $10,000 damages suit filed by Philip Merrone of North Homer City. Merrone, who suffered a fractured shoulder and other injuries, says the accident occurred June 20 when he was struck by a motor vehicle driven by Robert Graham. The incident happened on the road between the Indiana Blairsville road and Lucerne Mines. Merrone received treatment at Indiana Hospital.
