Hollywood actor Dana Andrews, 47, is due in court today on a drunken driving charge after a minor auto accident in North Hollywood Saturday. Police said he admitted drinking and he posted bail of 263 dollars before release.

Nick Sivilich 42 and Mrs Mary Tomayko 46 are in fair condition with chest injuries elbow and skull fractures and knee cuts. Mrs Ann Sivulich 38 suffered a broken wrist and dislocated elbow.

An Air Force Constellation crashed on Dhahran airfield in heavy fog killing fifteen aboard and burning many others. The craft hit sand 1000 yards from the runway. twenty six were seriously injured as three Constellations arrived from Tripoli. The accident occurred as Dhahran’s ground control system was down.
Haig Paroonagian, 65, used a loud scream to deter armed gunmen during a confrontation at his Boston area variety store. Police say the suspect fled as Paroonagian shouted and drew attention. This marks the third time in 19 years he has used his voice to deter criminals.
