Benny Turned Mean Wild Animal Becomes Dead Pet
Benny the 18 pound raccoon once loved as a family pet turned violent after returning from a two day absence. The animal bit a girl and attacked Mrs Bednarz causing serious injuries before being shot in self defense by a deputy game protector in Erie Pennsylvania. Benny had been adopted in McCook Nebraska and moved to Erie last August. The family kept him through winter despite his deteriorating temper and blindness in one eye.
