Lethal booby traps found at Maine recluse home
Police and bomb experts disarmed four improvised explosive devices in the two story Brewer house of Forrest R Peavey after a shootout that left a police officer wounded. A suitcase with wires and trip wires connected by radio transmitters suggested more danger inside. Residents were evacuated as authorities probed the scene and searched for further devices while Peavey, described as hermit like, died after exchanging gunfire with officers on Christmas night.
