Belknap United Church Guild Discusses Community Size
The Woman's Guild of Belknap United Church of Christ met in the church social room to discuss How Big Is Our Community. Mrs. Willard Shay led the program with devotions by Mrs. Charles Crissman and readings on The Christmas Spirit and Our Preparation for Christmas. The meeting included a discussion scene in Nazareth and Paul sending his letter throughout the world, closing with It Came Upon the Midnight Clear. Members planned candy and cookie gifts for overseas aid, clothing shipments to Church World Service, stamp collection for Germany and Japan, and future secret sisters and Old Folks Home Kleenex and Children's Home soap drives. Hostesses were Mrs. Melvin Wilson and Mrs. Oran Good.

Friendship Grove Christmas Party Held by Woodmen Circle
Members and guests of Friendship Grove No. 269 of the Supreme Forest Woodmen Circle held their annual Christmas party at the Dayton Fire Hall. A 6:30 dinner, decorations, gifts for the Home for the Aged in Sherman Texas, a small gift exchange, a service flag for absent members, a business meeting, and a 50 cent fund-raiser for the Golden Welfare Club were featured. The next meeting is set for January 21 at the Kittanning CCF Hall with Joyce Powers and Ruby Williamson hosting.
