Indiana County youths to attend state college short course

Indiana county youths join five month agriculture course at State College starting January fifth. Participants include Paul Dorr Indiana R2 and Wendell Wetzel Marion Center among others. Courses cover cow testing, dairy manufacturing, and general agriculture with no entrance requirements beyond age sixteen and basic schooling.

Punjab Ruler Hit By Bullet In Lahore Shooting

A Punjab ruler was shot and slightly wounded as six shots were fired near Lahore University. An adviser said one person suffered a minor injury while a potter was struck, and three suspects were arrested in connection with the shooting. Bank Robbery Suspect Shot After Bronx Raid

Police traced requisition papers for two bank bandits to a Bronx apartment house. Lipkowiz was shot, taken to Mordham Hospital, and identified by Betty Miller of Pittsburgh. A search found currency, an automatic pistol, and a key to a New York safety deposit vault. Detectives connected Lipkowiz to the hold up as part of a larger fraud scheme.

Mrs Leydic sustained a fractured right arm above the elbow and minor injuries to her daughter Butty, who had a facial laceration and contusions. Compensation to Mrs Caruso for forest fire death

The Workmen's Compensation Board awarded Teresa Caruso of Blairsville $5,774.61 to be paid by the State Department of Forests and Waters. Her husband, a Pennsylvania Railroad employee, was killed while fighting a forest fire in Indiana County on April 19, 1928, after being loaned by the railroad to the Forests and Waters department.
