Five Killed In Christmas Eve W Va Crash
Two adults and three children from High Point North Carolina died in a car-truck collision on West Virginia Route 17 about 30 miles northwest of Charleston. The Harris family accompanied by the Deans were returning home for Christmas when the 1937 convertible swerved across the road into a tractor-trailer. The bodies were trapped for over four hours. The tractor-trailer driver was uninjured.

Seward Area Resident Dies In Accident
ARMAGH An Armagh area resident was killed and two others injured in a two car crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the New Stanton interchange today. John Sendres Jr., 50, of Seward Rd 1, was the driver of the first car. Pred Giller and his wife Velma, of Beaver County, were listed in good condition at Moreland Hospital in Greensburg. Alita Policy from the Somerset Turnpike Barracks said evidence indicated Sendry attempted a U turn when the crash occurred. The victim lived on Route 56 between Armagh and Seward near the county line. State Police continue the investigation.
