Washington, Dec 21. A Naval Academy cadet who tested in Norway was dismissed from the Navy and barred from entering the Army in any capacity. A legal dispute followed, with General Crowder ruling it unwise for Clifford to be allowed to take Army second lieutenant examinations. Clifford had earlier sought enlistment in the Army as a private after leaving the Naval Academy but was rejected for enlistment due to his naval record.
