Two District Youths Selected As Senators for YMCA Assembly
Nine area high schools in Central West District select 34 youths for the YMCA State Youth and Government program in Indiana. At a pre-assembly in the courthouse, Rep. William G. Buchanan urged thoughtful bill ideas and explained how a bill becomes law. The district will send six senators, twenty representatives, and six pages to the 1967 Harrisburg legislature in April.

Rob ert P. Tromblee of Mequon Wisconsin ditched his twin engine plane over Lake Michigan after a fire aboard. A Coast Guard rescue boat and Civil Air Patrol planes coordinated a rescue as Tromblee inflated his raft and signaled his location. He was rescued and taken to Hackley Hospital in Muskegon in good condition.

Pittsburgh AP report: Jerome Harris, 30, inmate at Allegheny County Jail, swallowed pins, escaped Mercy Hospital in pajamas after feigning faint. He hijacked a car, rode buses to stay warm, then forced a couple, entered Mrs Harrinston's apartment in a dress and babushka, sparking a 12-block downtown chase before recapture eight hours after leaving hospital. He faces prison escape and robbery charges plus theft and burglary.
