County Road Bids Opened for Nine Projects
Harrisburg December 15 Nine highway projects were listed for bids in the year’s final road setting. Indiana County bids include 18 512 feet of concrete on Route 310 by Paul Construction Co Cresson at 188 83. The mileage forms part of the Benjamin Franklin highway from the hilltop near where Greenville road diverges to Keller’s Mills known as Ewings Mills. Next highway stretch will be advertised in January from Keller's Mill to the Pine and Cherryhill township line junction.

High School Concert Wonderful and Deficient Audience

Grand Old Man of Screen Theodore Roberts Dies
Movieland mourns Theodore Roberts the Hollywood figure known as the grand old man of the screen. The 67 year old actor died at his home in Hollywood Calif from cancer and grip related complications after a brief illness and a recent operation. Born October 8 1861 in San Francisco he rose from stage to cinema and had just completed a part in a talking picture shortly before his death.
