Passenger Train Lost In Snow East of Charleston
A second rescue train was sent from Charleston to reach a snowbound two coach passenger train stranded 45 miles east. The initial relief train, 10 miles short, also became stuck in deep drifts. The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad reported the locomotive died for lack of water after failing to push through the snow. State Police had sought Civil Air Patrol wing commander Hubert H. Stark to fly over the area, but weather prevented any air searches.

Three Prisoners Plead Guilty Get 22 Years
