Jonathan Yount 838 years old of Elderton died December 10 at 10 00 AM in Freeport after an acute heart attack. He was a respected farmer, active Lutheran Church member, and leaves son Roy of Montana and brothers Andy of Miderton and William of Alliance Ohio. Funeral at United Presbyterian Elderton Saturday at 2 30 PM with interment in Elderton cemetery.
The United Commercial Travelers announce their annual New Year’s Eve dance at the Armory on Wednesday evening December 31. The event has drawn large crowds in the past and promises a great time. Gordon Glark and his Ten Pennsylvanians will provide the music for the evening.

A Greek Catholic Circle formed to unite and aid St Mary’s youth held its first gathering at 8 P.M. Wednesday in the church basement Homer City. Rev John Baycura attended along with members Mike Baron and Mike Smandra in a evening of refreshments games and songs. Local notables Samuel R McCain and Mrs Hutchinson attended while Lafayette Tusk, a Homer City mine superintendent, visited Indiana recently.
