New York December 11 Walter Brookins once a Wright brothers flyer and pupil announces a hydroplane invention that combines a motorboat and a biplane. He claims to have solved the seagoing wing problem and expects speeds around eight miles per hour with a deck mounted design that can detach in rough seas for safety.
Mr George B Smith of Smithville Ontario, 71, says Vinci cured his long standing stomach ailment and now he feels strong enough to work as thirty years ago. An Indiana druggist endorses Vinci cod liver iron tonic as life extending for elderly. The ad urges keep calm amid daily business nuisances.
A couple Blaise and George flee to New York to marry aboard a steamer but misadventures unfold. A mistaken trunk, a hurried dash for the ship, jealous tensions, and a dramatic confrontation with the ship’s captain lead to a tangled, chaotic sequence as vows loom and truth strains under pressure.
A 1908 children story shows Santa filling stockings on Christmas Eve when a curious mouse stays awake. The mouse playfully warns there’s room for one more gift, gnaws a tiny hole in the toe of a stocking, and Santa laughs, gifting a Christmas cheese for the clever joke.
