Savings and Trust Co announces a Christmas Savings Club open from December 21 for two weeks. The plan targets Indiana residents with promises of over 31,000 in circulation during the Christmas shopping season, aiding shoppers and merchants in a brisk holiday period.
Migs Ansley explains that revenue stamps cannot pay the federal tax on telegrams. Telegraphs must collect 4 cents tax per message in cash from the payer, with stamps not acceptable. Customers will see a separate tax line on monthly bills where applicable.
