Ouie Thsnerty, gold discovery chatter in Seven Points, a Pittsburg doctor killed by a freight train, a canal death in Allentown, an elopement annulment in New Gibelea, a treasury guard’s death in Harrisburg, wage cuts at Weston railway, and local political moves on Prohibition and pardons in Columbus.

Exodus Half a Million Aliens to Europe Expected

New York dispatch reports a surge of departing aliens to Europe, with four liners today carrying 8,000 immigrants, mostly Italians. Steamship authorities foresee peak departures this week, raising total departures to about 500,000 so far this year, far above last year’s pace.

Report of the condition of the First National Bank Indiana to the State of Pennsylvania at close of business December 8, 1907 appears, detailing loans, deposits, and reserves with names of officials sworn to truth by notary.
