Grosscup Quits Liquor Board To Resume Private Business
Harrisburg December 8. Walter T. Grosscup resigned as chairman of the Liquor Control Board citing a wish to devote time to private business connections. He will quit by December 31 and had left Lit Brothers in July 1925 to head the board. The Governor expressed regret and praised his management. Grosscup noted profits rose from 14 million to around 75 million annually and claimed improved efficiency and economy under his tenure. He offered cooperation to his successor.
