Bootleg raid nets $75,000 of liquor destroyed

James Hill of Fourteenth street son of William B Hill of Twolick sustained a broken leg at work in the Beaver Coal Company mine near Meco yesterday. While cutting coal a pillar shifted and coal fell on him breaking his leg between the ankle and knee. Streams ambulance took him to the Indiana Hospital.

Bellefonte Pa Dec 7 Richard E James seventeen year old diverging flyer from Los Angeles to New York faces repeated mechanical failures in his solo flight. His escort plane carrying his parents was lost and he made a forced landing in a field near Kilbuckstown about 25 miles west of here with a broken propeller. He started from Mercer Pa earlier today after several false starts and is expected to be delayed until tomorrow while another propeller is fitted.
