Double Ring Wedding in Evangelical United Brethren Church

Carol Irene Shick and Albert J. Jackson wed in a candlelit ceremony on November 14 in Indiana. The bridal party wore pastel gowns. reception followed in the church social room. The couple plans to reside in Confluence after a Canada Niagara Falls honeymoon.

Delta Kappa Gamma Christmas Meeting

The December meeting of Delta Kappa Gamma was held December 2 in the Elks Building dining room. Speakers discussed evaluating educational services for handicapped children, including IQ figures, residential care needs, and follow up for pre schoolers.

Christmas Meeting for Graystone W C Fellowship

The December gathering of Graystone U P Church Women’s Fellowship met in the Fellowship Hall on December 2. Upteens presented devotions and a playlet The Message of the Angels. A reading by Judy Grube featured a shepherd and the program closed with Silent Night and benediction.

North Eighth Street Couple Plan Westward Visit

Personal Mr and Mrs M W Trainer of North Eighth Street depart today for visits with daughters Mrs Larry Henry of West Homestead and Mrs Jack Mu Gregor of Huntington West Virginia. Trainers will leave next week for an extended visit to Wisconsin Clearwater with their sister Mrs Hildur Molitor.

Crusader Class Holds Annual Supper Meet

The Crusader Class of the Pleasant Wn on hutheran Church held its annual burkwheat and shusabe supper in church social rooms. Gerald Doversmire oversaw the event as the meeting was called to order by Charles Moore in the president's absence. A Congregational meeting and Crusaders Class planned for December 17 at Great Pm, with attendees listed.

Chapter C of the P.E.O. Sisterhood met at Mrs. R. J. Craig's home on December 3 to hear reports, support the International Peace Scholarship, and pledge a gift. New AK chapter forming in Lancaster. Girl Scout Carol Service at First Methodist Church Indiana

The twentieth annual Girl Scout Christmas candlelight service will be Sunday December 6 at 7 30 p m at the First Methodist Church Indiana. Neighborhood Number 3 of the Indiana Council of Girl Scouts sponsors the event under H Eugene Hulbert from Indiana State Teachers College. Senior Girl Scouts perform with narrated Christmas music from various lands and a candlelight processional.Twila Hoover organist and Rowena Fenton troop leader chair the event with Mrs Richard Nolan as Neighborhood Number 3 chair. The Indiana Council of Girl Scouts is part of the Indiana County United Fund.

Christmas Seals sale at the Indiana Post Office runs starting Monday in the lobby from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. under the Indiana County Tuberculosis and Health Society. Wilma J Luchsinger daughter of Nora M Luchsinger of 1113 Maple Street Indiana has won a Wahr scholarship for each remaining year at Indiana State Teachers College Half of the annual award will be provided each semester as long as she maintains a C average Dr B Trevor Hadley dean of Students and chairman of the Faculty Loan and Scholarship Committee notes The Wahr fund was created by Corrine Monk Wahr class of 1916 at the college.

Junior Council CDA Plans Yuletide Party

The regular meeting of Court St. Bernard No. 339 of the Junior Catholic Daughters of America was held December 2 at Mrs. E A Hennessey home. Plans were made for a Christmas party December 13 at the Newman Center with caroling at local care facilities and gifts for Flame.
