Christmas Tree Brightens City With Community Effort

The municipal Christmas tree project progresses with church groups clubs and lodges planning to decorate and illuminate the tree from 6 pm to midnight during the holiday week. Committees meet regularly as the Chamber of Commerce backs the idea with the New Century Club guiding efforts. The program will feature music folk dances and appearances by visiting friends, with a focus on aiding families lacking their own Christmas trees.

Ht. Re Dill of Dittown spent the day in Indiana. George W. Clawson of Huff was in town. W. J. Beatty of Sheloca visited here. Mrs. Lisle B. Yeaton of New York City is visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. George Lovelace on South Seventh street. Mrs. W. T. Wilson of Church street returns from Peabody Kansas after three months with two sisters and a brother. The change of climate agreed and she is much improved in health.
