Fire Decimates OU Barracks. 3 Dead, 19 Hurt
A early morning blaze engulfed a two story wooden dormitory on the University of Oklahoma campus killing three students and injuring 19, two critically. The Navy barracks building, dating from 1841, was valued at about 500000 with losses including equipment. Names listed among the critical injuries include David M. Clary of Buckner Arkansas and John H. Sorensen of Brooklyn New York. The fire started around 230 am CST and forced students to exit or jump from windows.
