Italian Leftists Move to Charge Rumor in Lockheed Case

In Rome, leftist members of the parliamentary commission pressed preliminary corruption charges against former premier Mariano Rumor, former defense ministers Luigi Gui and Mario Tanassi, and Gen. Duilio Fanali over a $1.6 million Lockheed payoff. The move reflects Communist gains in the June elections and follows earlier CDA resistance.

White House Gates Stand Firm After Car Attack

A Santa Fe man rammed a battered pickup into the White House new solid steel gates on Pennsylvania Avenue. The gates did not budge, and Steven Williams was arrested for destruction of government property after injuries to him. President Ford was in the Oval Office. no comment.

Mazzei Denied Parole For Former Pa Senator

Washington AP The U S Parole Commission refused parole for former Pennsylvania Senator Frank Mazzei of Pittsburghs South Side after his 1974 conviction for demanding a 20000 kickback in return for a state lease. He began a five year term December 29 1975 at Allenwood Federal Prison.
