Local golfers feel confident as they prepare for a Saturday showdown at Somerset Country Club. Next Monday, Labor Day, Johnstown golfers visit for a return match against Indiana’s strongest team this season, promising a stern test.

Burial in United Presbyterian Cemetery. Born June 6 1900 at Penn Run to James and Mary Replogle Bartlebaugh. Survived by husband and children Janet at home Alice Knupp of Fort Palmer and Ernest McBurney of Fairfield.

Joyner, a noted stage and screen actor, has worked with Mary Pickford and Lionel Barrymore. Miss Lenore Cahill of St Louis, the sole American aboard the Berengaria to meet the Prince of Wales, said she did not know he would be aboard when she booked. She and her aunt had tried to sail the Majestic to return home but could not secure decent accommodations. Cahill recalled dancing with General Trotter, a member of the Prince's party, who asked if she wished to be presented to the Prince. She described the royal heir as a dancer and noted her thrill at the encounter.
The Chicago Stock Company presents So This Is London at the Ritz Theatre starting Monday. A George M. Cohan comedy contrasts British restraint with American vigor across three scenes set in London living rooms.
