Kent State shootings case faces swift appeal after verdict
Cleveland AP reports a federal jury awarded 46 million for the wounded and families from the 1970 Kent State University killings. Attorneys predicted a quick appeal as jurors found defendants not liable, while survivors and relatives reacted with sobs and anger. The trial spanned 15 weeks with Gov. Rhodes and Kent State officers among the defendants.
