Paul LL. Wilson of Pittsburgh, a magazine writer, leaped from a sixth floor window at a Kansas City hotel. Hitchhiker Ben Issacion of Altoona, Pa., said Wilson appeared haunted by hallucinations of being pursued. Wilson planned to join his wife and two children in Clinton, Oklahoma, Isaacson reported.

Small Fire at Shell Gas Station Damage Minimal
A small fire of unknown origin broke out in a gasoline pit in front of the Shell Gas Company at Fifth and Philadelphia streets yesterday afternoon around 3:00. An employee was transferring gasoline between tanks when a pool ignited. the blaze was quickly smothered with dirt and fire crews found no further need to act. The shell company is installing two new storage tanks at the station.

Two Beautiful Girls Aid Robbery Pair in Pittsburgh
In Pittsburgh on August 28 a Wash End store manager and his clerk were robbed of 56 dollars after two hatless collegiate youths and their two companions coerced them with a gun and threats. A bystander described the assailants as two beautiful girls and two of the men, while another victim, William Robertson, 23, reported being dragged into brush and clubbed. The incident followed two men snatching the victims in a car and escaping.

Air Pilot And Radio Man Save Passengers
Gloucester, Aug 28 UP Heroism of the pilot and radio operator saved all but one aboard a $75,000 twin motor amphibian with 13 aboard when it sank in dense fog off the coast after 206 minutes. Edward Banwell, 70, of Auburn Maine, and the two crew members perished. Survivors were rescued by a passing ship then taken to Addison Gilbert Hospital with exposure, immersion, and minor injuries.
