Dwight D Long a 45 year old steward at the Eagles home died at Mercy hospital after being admitted in serious condition. He ruptured a gastric ulcer and passed away at 9 50 p m. He is survived by his widow Elizabeth Bolachan two children James and Hazel and siblings Mrs Daniel Deegan Mrs Hazel Riley James and Mrs Gertrude Proud. Funeral plans pending arrival of Mrs Long.

Six Commodore relatives were injured four miles northeast of town in a Clymer Road collision when an Oldsmobile and a Chevrolet touring car collided. G Colgan suffered a shoulder fracture. Mrs. Colgan lost teeth. Laurie Colgan a broken shoulder. Forest Colgan an eye injury. Wayne and Thelma Colgan contusions. The Chevrolet driver Joseph Smith of Marion Center faced no injuries. the Oldsmobile was demolished. The injured were taken to Indiana Hospital and Dixonville Hospital. Another crash occurred at Oakland Cemetery gate when an Oldsmobile and a Ford collided. James Mowry and wife escaped injury though Mrs. Mowry had a rib injury.
