Fractures Back in Fall From Tree
Edward Selva a 41 year old farmer from Derry township Westmoreland county near Blairsville was seriously injured Saturday when he fell 15 feet from a plum tree on his property. He suffered a probable fracture to the back and was taken to Latrobe hospital. Walter Ressler of Robinson Indiana county had a left leg injury from an automobile strike and returned home from Memorial Hospital Johnstown after x ray tests.

Avonmore Station Robbery Strikes Rail Hub
Bandits broke into the Pennsylvania Railroad passenger station at Avonmore near Vandergrift early Saturday. Miss Anna Della Beans died after an eleven month illness at her home 0 South Sixth Street Indianapolis born Marion Center August 16 1872. She moved to Indiana in 1901 with her parents and was office manager at Beans Insurance Agency after her father died. Survived only by her brother Harry P Beans. She belonged to First Presbyterian Church and Young Women's Club and was a charter member of the Indiana chapter No 299 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

McKeesport, Pa. August 25 UP Gabriel Amenadola and his family were reported missing after a house explosion. Man Killed On P R R Tracks Near Graceton
Joseph Rodisich a 37 year old Graceton coal miner was killed on the Indiana Branch passenger train No 6886 about 6 04 pm Monday a mile north of Graceton station. The engineer S B Taylor of Blairsville and conductor Ralph E B Forrester of Indiana observed him on the tracks as he walked south. Despite repeated whistles the man did not leave. He was mangled and the body sent to Ferguson funeral home Blairsville where the coroner planned an inquest later that evening. Relatives are being sought including a brother a Greek Catholic priest in Chicago. Rodisich had lived in Graceton about 18 months and was single.
