A Chevrolet coupe carrying Hoy Wate and hitchhiker Riley collided with an oncoming car ten miles from Ridgway on the Buffalo to Pittsburgh road. Branley Wallett and Riley, both injured, were taken to Johnstown’s hospitals. Riley suffered multiple injuries while Wallett had arm and chest cuts.

McKean project covers 1 mile in Hamilton Township awarded to C E Kimbrought North Enat for 22,306.76 dollars. Montgomery project spans 1.43 miles in Abington Township awarded to Cronchett Construction Co of Philadelphia for 52,525.57 dollars.
New York, Aug. 25 Professionals in the stock market traded in a narrow price range amid holiday week calm. Activity remained light with sub-1,000,000 share totals late in the session as traders swapped positions, lifting Westinghouse General Electric American Can and U S Steel modestly on short covering. Oil issues weakness weighed on Standard of New Jersey and peers. Vanadium and United Aircraft faced selling pressure.

The attack followed tribesmen discontent over British disarmament measures in Peshawar district.
