Two Hurt After Buffalo to Pittsburgh Highway Collision

A Chevrolet coupe carrying Hoy Wate and hitchhiker Riley collided with an oncoming car ten miles from Ridgway on the Buffalo to Pittsburgh road. Branley Wallett and Riley, both injured, were taken to Johnstown’s hospitals. Riley suffered multiple injuries while Wallett had arm and chest cuts.

Bolivar Man, 75, Struck by Auto Near Bolivar

State police and county officials investigate a highway accident near Bolivar in which Samuel Henderson, 76, was struck by an unidentified motorist. Nine British Soldiers Killed in Frontier Clash

Nine British soldiers including one officer were killed and many wounded in a clash with Wazir tribesmen on the North Western Indian frontier near the Bannu district south of the Khyber Pass. Twenty six tribesmen died and seventy were taken prisoner in the fierce hand to hand battle following disarmament actions in surrounding villages.
