No Injuries In Local Wreck

Indiana borough police report a minor accident Thursday on Philadelphia Street near the Clymer Water Co. office. Richard Lee Cunningham, 17, of Chambersville, pulled from a parking space and was struck on the left side by George Kosanovich, 43, of Indiana. Damage estimated at $50 per vehicle. Car makers to make safety belts standard in new cars

Eric Johnston Dies In D C At Age 66

Eric Johnston a Republican died in Washington D C at age 66 after a career as a government official diplomat and Hollywood association leader He served on multiple wartime boards and commissions including the War Manpower and Reconversion and Economic Stabilization agencies He was administrator of the Economic Stabilization Agency in 1951 chairman of the International Development Agency from 1952 and later served as a special ambassador to the Middle East in 1953 and to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Citizens Commission He is survived by Ina Harriet Hughes whom he married in 1922 and two daughters Memorial services will be held Monday at St Johns Episcopal Church burial in Spokane likely Wednesday
