Rockefeller slipped a platinum wedding band on mnne Marie Rasmussens left hand today and made her his wife in a solemn Norwegian marriage ceremony They pronounced their vows in a country church on a gentle knoll within sight of the brides family home Gov Nelson A Rockefeller of New York and Stevens broth sisters and a sisterinlaw witnessed the Lutheran ceremony seated on wooden benches on the right side of the church Mrs Rockefeller and Anne Ma ries father Kristian Rasmussen retired grocer and fish merchant sat together near the altar on the right side The mother Lovise watched the rites the last and most delicate stage of their efforts to reconcile he tough House labor control bil and the middleoftheroad Senate measure Friday before recessing unti Monday they got to work on th seventh and final section of the two bills the section containing most of the political dynamite They briefly discussed two o the controversial TaftHartley law amendments dealing with n mans land ond the House bills public re porting provision was stiffer than the Senates The conferees have been work ing in closed sessions but word of their progress has seeped out Sen John F Kennedy cosponsor Indiana County Court Judge Clark yesterday signed his name to an order of the court clearing the way for the annexation of a section of the township bounded on the west by North Fourth Street on the east by North First Street extension and on the north by a line running parallel to and approximately 800 feet north of the present borough line This action is expected to touch off the submission of several pe titions asking annexation of oth er areas into the borough It has been reported other persons have been waiting for Judge Clarks rul ing on the first petition Major landowner in this tract the first full day it was on the books In Philadelphia the States lar gest city agents of the Sales Tax Bureau had to stop some bartend ers who had been collecting the tax on overthebar drinks The tax bills provision on alco holic beverages extends only to re tail sales by beer distributors and at state liquor stores Reports in a statewide check showed some confusion among businesses that were
