Horses And Cattle For Indiana Fair Invoices
Managers M F Jamison and D C Mack report gains from two days in Kittanning. Eight dozen horsemen promised to bring tratters and pacers to Indiana after Butler Fair next week. Kittanning results show prize cattle and poultry winners heading to Indiana. The Kittanning Fair failed after Friday events were halted due to gambling bans, but lessons were learned. Local business leaders may join the National Trotting Association to protect horsemen and push for a clean fair funded by the state. Multiple Indiana residents say gate receipts covered premiums, yet some exhibitors claim award denials. Managers’ stance grew heated, threatening to end the fair rather than improve it. Nirella's Band played at Reynolds House before grounds opened, reducing attendance.
